Clean Greens

Celery . Apple . Kale . Cabbage . Lime

CELERY-

This stuff is awesome. It is cooling (good for hot weather!), improves digestion, and purifies the blood. It is very high in silicon, so good for rebuilding joints, bones, arteries and all connective tissue. It is high in alkaline minerals, including sodium, and so counter acts an acidic diet. These minerals help the body to use calcium more effectively and help to remineralize and hydrate the body. This organic sodium benefits the body contrary to the sodium in table salt. Celery can also curb the appetite.

APPLE-

High in vitamins and minerals and contains a fair amount of vitamin C. High in pectin, which is a soluble fiber. Soluble fiber remains in the juice (while insoluble fiber does not) and forms a gel in our intestines that absorbs and digests toxins. It also helps to stimulate digestion by way of peristaltic activity which is the wavelike motion of the large intestine that helps it move food through the digestive tract. Juiced apples are actually known as bowel regulators since the pectin and malic acids help to normalize digestion. These soluble fibers are also very important food for our microbiome.

KALE-

Incredibly high in calcium (absorption is increased with the celery!), chlorophyll, vitamin A and iron. It is helpful for eyesight, bones, blood, teeth, and the lymphatic system. Since it has so much chlorophyll it helps to increase the oxygen and red blood cell content of the blood. This improves circulation and helps our physical performance. Ounce for ounce, kale juice contains as much usable calcium as milk!!

CABBAGE-

Highly cleansing and high in vitamins B-6 & C, as well as minerals chlorine, iodine, potassium, and sulfur. The Greeks deemed cabbage a tonic and rejuvenator and used it as a cure for baldness (who knew?!) It is an excellent food for the skin, and can help intestinal ulcers (due to its vitamin U content). Cabbage juice can also be incredibly helpful for people struggling with cancer. 

LIME-

Much like lemon in its qualities and benefits. An effective cleanser and will help to alkalize the body. It helps the liver to make enzymes which help us digest our food. It helps to increase our energy and bring about a metabolic balance. Citrus with Kale will help to increase our absorption of the calcium in kale.
